Antivirus Information
|
|
| |
Important note : If you have an antivirus software installed on your computer, keep
it updated or remove it from your system and replace it with new antivirus software.
Don't get us wrong, antivirus software is valuable to protect your computer system from the many viruses
and worms that are designed to attack it, but if it is not updated regularly you are running the risk
of a major computer lockup or crash if a new virus or worm gets in.
Please note that most antivirus software have many versions and these images are only used to demonstrate
a problem many users encounter soon after the antivirus software gets updated or if the subscription expires.

|
| |
If you cannot view webpages or your email client ( Outlook Express, MS Outlook, etc.)
begins to have problems sending or receiving email, perform the following steps to turn off part of the
antivirus software.
|
|
| |
NOTE : Disabling the software does not
always turn it off completely. In extreme cases, if the antivirus software has been expired for a long
time, uninstalling part or all of it may be the only solution. Try to repair Internet Explorer or install
a newer version before thinking of uninstalling the antivirus software.

to do.
Surf a few pages and send an email to yourself. Disconnect your Internet connection,
use this page to reinsert the check in the "Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up" box,
reboot, connect to the Internet and try to view webpages and send / receive email. If you can, fine. If
not, continue your troubleshooting.
