The "Scob" virus : To find out if your
computer is infected, search it for either of these 2 files, Kk32.dll or Surf.dat
If your find either of these files in your PC, it
is recommended that you set Internet Explorer security settings to the highest
level and update your antivirus software or run the free
online-virus scan from Trend Micro. ( Windows ME and Windows XP users, remember
to first turn
off system restore , before running the virus scan and turn it back on after
the scan, then restart the computer)
If you think you would like to use a different web
browser until Microsoft delivers the patch for Internet Explorer, you can use
Mozilla Firefox...
Download it and install it, but do not set it as your default browser,
if asked.
