Make a new dial-up connection for Windows 95

The Windows 95 computer must have a modem installed with the correct drivers for it to establish a connection to the Internet. To make any networking changes in Windows 95, the Windows 95 CD will be required if the cab files are not already installed.

A word to the wise: if the Windows 95 computer was running dialup software like AOL, to create a new dialup connection, you may need to have an extra 'Dialup Adapter' and an extra 'TCP/IP Adapter' to get connected to the Internet. If you have to add these because they are not present, you must have the Windows 95 cab files install or the Windows 95 CD. If while adding these Windows says " A file you are copying is older than the file on your computer, would you like to keep the existing file", always CLICK NO.

If you click "yes", you could have a version conflict the next time you restart the computer. After that, Windows 95 could CRASH.
